Faded Layers

Posted on

Challenge #8 of StudioL3’s CC3C is Tim’s Faded Layers technique from A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3,  page 58.  The Funkie Junkie Boutique is the sponsor of challenge #8, check it out for a ton of fun offerings.

I cut an 8 1/2″ by 11″ sheet of glossy cardstock into quarters and created four different backgrounds.  Here are the three I haven’t used yet:

I’ve got some ideas for the cards I’ll create with them.  I needed a birthday card for Monday so I used my fourth background for this card:

I love how the stamped and die cut elements (Sizzix Sweet Day) pop on the background.  If you want some great inspiration, head over to StudioL3 and check out all the fabulous faded layer entries.

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time, Vic

  5. Hi Vic, loving the different backgrounds you created, it is always so good to have a stash of goodies you can pull to make a card up and your finished card is just so cute with that little bicycle… Thanks for playing along with the CC3 Challenge, hope to see you again soon x
