Love is in the Air!

Posted on

This week over at Studio L3 for Grungy Monday 32, Linda had us choose a favorite technique from Tim Holtz’ 12 Tags of Christmas 2011.  I chose the painted metal technique from Tag #6.  Tim’s version is here.  Here’s mine:

My Ruby Slippers Stickled love qualifies for the Simon Says Challenge: Red Letter Day.  Be sure and check out their store while you’re there.

I joined a Valentine tag swap over at the ArtHaven group and this tag will be on it’s way to Diann.  I hope she likes it.

We woke up to a blanket of white here this morning and it’s been snowing off and on all day.  I’m glad I went to the grocery store yesterday – I don’t walk or drive in it!

I’ve got more projects to work on so I’m happy to stay in where it’s warm.  Thanks for stopping by for a visit, I love reading your comments.

Hugs!  Vic

Happy New Year!

Posted on

I’m a little late with my Happy New Year wishes.  I wanted to wait so I could post pictures of the calendar album I made for my friend, Linda.  We got together for lunch and a bit of retail therapy on Friday so I delivered it to her.   I used my Cinch to punch the holes and bound it with binder rings.  I used paper from Tim Holtz’ Lost & Found collection for all the pages.  Most of the images came from the Graphics Fairy.   Click a picture for a closer look.

Each left-hand page has a journaling spot.

I’ve entered this in the Simon Says Stamp and Show Something Old, Something New challenge.  Thanks for looking .   I hope everyone has a very happy and creative 2012!

Happy Birthday, Tim!

Posted on

Today is the birthday of The Tim Holtz!  If you are not familiar with him (How can that be?) head over to his website and check out his great products and videos.  In honor of Tim’s birthday, Linda at StudioL3 challenged us to create a birthday card using Tim products for Grungy Monday 31.  Here’s mine:

Grungy Monday #31 Happy Birthday, Tim

I did a faux leather technique using fun foam and an old Stampers Anonymous stamp.  I used Faded Jeans cardstock from the Core’dinations Distress Collection for the background.  A little sanding and Faded Jeans/Walnut Stain  Distress Ink after running it through my Cuttlebug with a distressed stripes embossing folder created a worn denim look.  I used Walnut Stain Distress Ink on the fun foam, the scrap I stamped the sentiment on and the wooden letters.  I rubbed the top of the letters with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

I’m happy with how it turned out and I hope Tim will like it, too.

As always, thanks for visiting.  I love reading your comments.
