Here it is nearly February and I’m just getting to my first post of 2014! Happy New Year to you all.
I created this canvas for a friend for a Christmas gift and I still need to get it to her. I actually created a different canvas that I had to throw out, no amount of rehab could fix it. I’m much happier with this one:
I cut a pop can with the following Spellbinders dies: Jewel Goddess, Mix’d Media Playtime, and Girlie Grunge Labels. (Note: The last two sets aren’t on the Spellbinders site anymore.)
I used Distress Paints and Studio 490 silver Embossing Paste for the background. The butterfly and flowers are Prima.
Simon Says Stamp has a new Work It Challenge the theme is to use something new. My new things are the silver embossing paste and the Girlie Grunge Labels – even though I’ve had both for a while, I just opened them. Inspiration Emporium posted a quick challenge: Dieing for 2014, my die cut goddess and words work for that.
I hope to get this canvas to my friend in the next few days. I hope she likes it – she is an Art Goddess! Thanks for stopping by.
