Practicing on a Canvas

Posted on

I used some of my Distress Crayon skills (from Creative Chemistry 103) to practice on a 6″ x 6″ canvas board.  I stamped Anneli by Prima with Jet Black Archival ink.  I colored with Distress Crayons and used a water brush to blend the colors.

I used some gel and pigment pens to add some details.  The finishing touch was an edging with Tarnished Bronze Distress Paint.

It was fun to create this canvas.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks for visiting.

Day 6, Creative Chemistry 103: Surfaces & Substrates

Posted on

For our Day 6 lesson, Tim described various surfaces and substrates.  He challenged us to use techniques from the first five days on one of these surfaces.

I created two cards, one is a sympathy card, the other a thinking of you card.  Here they are with the technique & surfaces used:

Thanks for sticking with me through all my Creative Chemistry 103 posts.  When I get my reference book put together, I’ll share it.

Learning with Creative Chemistry 103

Posted on

I’ve spent the last few days learning and creating along with Tim Holtz in his online class, Creative Chemistry 103.  I’ll be sharing my samples from each day in the next few posts.

I created ATCs instead of tags like I had done in past classes.  I have a plan for using them in my reference book, I’ll share that later (if my idea pans out).

Here are my Day 1: Distress Accessories samples.
