Special Effects

Challenge 11 for Compendium of Curiosities 3 at StudioL3 is using Tim’s Special Effects Distress Embossing Powders.  You can find the details about Tim’s Distress Powders in Compendium of Curiosities 3.  The Special Effects Powders have been reduced to four but I have several from when more colors were available so I decided to mix them up for some fall leaves.  I made a couple of cards with them:

 

My cards turned out to be very hard to photograph but, trust me they are fabulous in real life!  I added a bit of glitzy embossing powder on the leaves and Distress Glitter on the acorns.

Home, Sweet, New Home

Over at Moxie Fab World they have a challenge to create a paper craft using this photo as the inspiration:

My friend and her husband are just moving into a new house this week.  I was planning to make them a card and used this challenge for it.  Here’s the card I came up with:

Ten, oh, clock!

Challenge #10 for the Compendium of Curiosities #3 at StudioL3 is using Tim’s Assemblage Clock.  The possibilities for using this fun “blank canvas” are endless.  Be sure to check out the Curiosity Crew and other challenge entries.   You can find Tim’s basic information about the assemblage clock on page 33 of Compendium of Curiosities #3.

I took my clock apart and used gesso, Distress Paints, Distress Crackle Paint, Distress Inks, Stickles and a ton of stash goodies on it.  Here are the parts before I re-assembled it.
